As a spectator of football my entire life, I’ve always been envious of the players, that at the end of the third quarter would raise their hands holding up four fingers and run to the other end of the field to begin the final quarter of the game.
Regardless if they were ahead or behind, they had a mission. This was drilled into them by their coaches at practices and two-a-days and always lead by the upper classmen. They had such optimism, drive, and even tenacity to push to the end of the game.
If you have been following my articles this year you may recall back in July I wrote an article titled “It’s Halftime in your Business” (What’s the game plan for the Second Half) Well here we are in the Fourth Quarter and I have to ask once again, What’s the Plan?
So, business owner, sales manager, sales professional, customer service leader, entrepreneur, marketing executive. How was Q3? Did you continue your winning strategies or regress, are you still on target to crush this year’s goals or have you slipped behind? It’s the Fourth Quarter – What’s the Plan?
Regardless of the where you are to this year’s goal, you need to be running down the field with your hand in the air screaming 4. You may not be able to make up the losses, but you must finish strong. You may be ahead of plan (AWESOME), then let’s just crush the goal.
As the upper classmen per say of your business, you need to set the tone for the Fourth Quarter. So, what’s the plan? You need to set time aside NOW and develop a 90 Day plan to cross that finish line with momentum to head into 2018. Your team is looking at you for leadership.
